📊 Donchian Channels (55-Period)

The Donchian Channel plots the highest high and lowest low over the last 55 periods. Breakouts above the upper channel signal LONG entries; breakdowns below signal SHORT entries.

🕯️ Chandelier Exit - "The Ratchet"

The Chandelier Exit is a trailing stop that only moves in our favor, never against us. It "ratchets" up (for longs) or down (for shorts) as price moves, locking in gains.

LONG Position Formula

Stop = Highest High Since Entry − (3 × ATR)

As price makes new highs, the stop moves up. It NEVER moves down. This "ratchet" effect locks in profits while giving the trade room to breathe.

SHORT Position Formula (v6.1)

Stop = Lowest Low Since Entry + (3 × ATR)

The inverse ratchet for shorts. As price makes new lows, the stop moves down. It NEVER moves up, protecting gains as the price falls.

Backup Exit: If the Chandelier Exit fails, a 55-period low breakdown acts as a safety net. Additionally, a hard stop at -5% from entry protects against catastrophic losses.

🏆 Setup Grades & Position Sizing

Not all setups are created equal. TURTLE-4 grades each setup based on timeframe alignment, trend strength, and volume confirmation. Higher grades get larger position sizes.
